Optical Components R&D Leader

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Build and lead strong R&D team to success in the new product development with competitive edges in cost, performance, quality, delivery, and mass manufacturability in time and  within the budget. 

2. Systematically implement project management methodologies in project planning, scheduling and execution with emphasis Ｏn critical path management and risk mitigation. 

3. Systematically implement DFMEA, PFMEA, design of experiment, design for manufacturability with automation in the process of product development. 

4. Systematically implement documentation system with all relevent project development documents, e.g. BOM, drawings, specification datasheets, experiments and test data, process flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, presentations, summaries, meeting minutes etc. as well as ECN, revisioning. 

5. Colaborate and communicate with internal teams of different functions, such as mechanical, hardware, software as well as QA, MFG, HR, etc. as well as teams of different sites. 

6. Customer interaction including RFQ/RFP responses and pre/post sale customer support        

EDUCATION & Qualifications:

               REQUIRED:            ·          MS in Optics, Applied    Physics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering with optical orientations                  PREFERRED:            ·          PhD in Optics, Applied    Physics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering with optical orientations             

WORK EXPERIENCE:

               REQUIRED:            ·          5 years in the field of fiber    optical components R&D or the rellevent. 

PREFERRED: ·       7 years in the field of fiber optical components R&D or the rellevent.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

REQUIRED: 

 ·       Solid fundmental knowedge in optical design, optical engineering, photonic simulation or relevent fields 

 ·       Rich experience in optical and photonic component packaging 

 ·       Team leading experience 

 ·       Project management experience 

 ·       English/Maderin bilingual fluency
